Growing up in a very musical family, David Dickey at the age of 14 attended the Wurlitzer Sale School in Logan Utah, and subsequently started selling pianos and organs out of his mothers store called "House of Originals" in Payson Utah.
After doing fairly well with this he was hired full time by a prominent music store in Orem Utah where he gained more knowledge and connections in the music industry. Lee Dickey (David's Father) had a lot of entrepreneurial experience through the years, and saw a great opportunity to go into business with his 19 year old son.
With a booming coal industry, they decided to open their store in little Price Utah. The business thrived and ended up opening 3 locations in Murray, Salt Lake City, and Ogden. However; having that many locations was taking David away from his young family too much, so he decided to shut down the other locations and focus on the business in Price.
Today we sell pianos, keyboards, drums, guitars, band & Orchestra instruments, music and accessories locally, and host many piano sale events across the western united states in cities that don't have their own piano store.
